to the Colonial Government, the state of placing the stone and its exact position can be recorded as Evidence on the plans of War Department property in this Office. There is one point which seems to have been over looked in giving up this ground, and that is the Military Tank and Main supplying Murray Barrack, it should be noted in the plans to be retained in the Colonial and Royal Engineer Offices (subject to the approval of His Excellency) that there will still remain the property of the War Department, and that they are to remain undisturbed and that free access at all times shall be allowed.

The boundary stone has been placed at the spot indicated by Lt Col de Botto and the marks on the stone are recorded upon the plan herewith returned.

I have today seen the Commanding Royal Engineer who informs me that he is perfectly satisfied with the arrangements that have been made.
